Book Review: Excellent Recipes

This is a well organized book that focuses on quality recipes and not on decorating. I made the Chocolate Cherry Cupcakes with Chocolate Fudge Frosting. The recipe was a bit unusual, no eggs and 2 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar. It was also very easy to make, no mixer required, just a whisk. I took them to a party and they were a hit. The cupcakes were very moist and the frosting was thick and not too sweet. The author added a note that these are best eaten the same day, but I keep one in the refrigerator and ate it the next day and I think it was actually better. I'm looking forward to making more cupcakes from this book.Book Review: Excelent and super easy to follow

I got this book a week ago and have already made 4 recipes. The first one was the banana cupcakes, which were deliciously moist and the texture of the cupcakes just made them melt in my mouth. I also tried the Kahlua cupcakes and shared with a friend who now wants me to make them everyweek. Again the result was very moist and melt in your mouth cupcakes. The other two were kids cupcakes, and of course my daughter and her friends gave them an A+. I recommend this book, the instructions are easy to follow as 1,2,3 and the results are great.Book Review: Grab this one up

I have had nothing but good results from the recipes I've tried so far out of this book. The apple cupcakes with caramel glaze are especially excellent, by the way. The edition I received from Amazon does list the amount each recipe yields, as well. I attempted to purchase this from a local super-duper big bookstore, but after looking it up, the clerk informed me that it may no longer be stocked, that it was uncertain whether there would be additional printings. I ordered it from Amazon immediately, and am glad that I did.Book Review: Just the Right Amount

This is a wonderful book for when you want to make just a pan of cupcakes. Although, I must say I usually make 48 mini cakes and bake them for 10-14 minutes. My favorite by far is the White Chocolate Chip with the Coffee Buttercream frosting. The recipes have simple ingredients. The print is easy to read. The frosting suggestions are helpful, as are other tips and comments, printed on each recipe. I did add 1-2 tablespoons meringue powder to the buttercream frosting just to help it hold up betterBook Review: Great Gift for Wife

I purchased this book in order to hold a gift certificate for my wife to a cupcake cooking class. So, I wasn't really worried about how good the cookbook was since it wasn't the main gift. We had a great time at the class, but my wife has been cooking cupcakes from this book for the last couple of months. We haven't had a bad one yet and she keeps finding recipes she wants to try. I definitely recommend this book to anyone looking to try some some fun and tasty cupcake recipes.
