Book Review: A fabulous book!!! Definitely buy this book.

This book was one of the few books on vocabulary that I found enthralling
not only in educating myself but also in entertaining myself. I read this while I'm reclined in my comfy sofa
with a light stand beside it.
It provides etymology and draws historical references to each term
that may be new to most people, nonetheless useful for anyone (including highschoolers)
whose ambition is to increase vocabulary for whatever purposes that may entail communicative skill.
(well..that's pretty much all the jobs and majors)
If you want to become a fabulous orator, writer, and an efficient reader of academic texts,
this is definitely IT for you.
I'm using it as a study aid for an upcoming SAT test in October. (Frankly speaking, it's a little more
sophisticated than what SAT requires, but, hey, it can't hurt right?)
This is my fifth vocabulary book that I'm studying; Ive finished barrons Increase Your Word Power and 1000 Words You Need to Know and Princeton Review's Word Smart I and II.
This is by far the best book in terms of providing all the multiple definitions and example sentences for each term,
(Books written by those testing agencies tend to only go so far in explaining and provide only the unknown or academic definition of a term, inabling the readers
to acquire the holistic understanding of a term- they're still great though don't get me wrong:))
The only minor drawback to this book is that Schur tends to use Nixon's tape and Mona Lisa as examples rather excessively..maybe too much that I find it a little annoying. And he does not like lawyers..it's apparent because many of the "pejorative" words contain lawyers as examples. But it's not that big of a deal (that's why i said it's minor)
Go for it! This will definitely helpful and entertain you at the same time!
